Aluminium Repairs commitment to a clean, green New Zealand has resulted in the recent purchase their first 100% electric vehicle. The latest edition to the Aluminium Repairs fleet is Nissan’s ENV200 van. Director Dave Huddlestone could not be happier:
“After driving this for a while, I’m totally sold on the idea. Eventually, all our vehicles will be fully electric.”
But it’s not solely about reducing their carbon footprint. The goal of going electric also reflects Aluminium Repairs' commitment to providing cost effective solutions to their customers.
“This vehicle is about $6000 per year cheaper to run. That sort of saving helps us keep our prices competitive.”

Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are becoming more common throughout Christchurch at various businesses, malls, carparks and supermarkets.
Our Service Area

Despite being based in Christchurch, the growing number of charging station locations enables the Aluminium Repairs team to service their customers across the region with the new vehicle.
“There are charging stations in most of the areas we service including Amberley, Rangiora, Rolleston, Ashburton and Timaru,” says Dave.
Finding out the location of the charging stations is easy. Smart phone apps can show you the location of local charging stations and there are also online maps like the one provided by Orion.
